10 DAYS TURKANA NAKURU TO SAMBURU VIA CHALBI RESERVE This trip takes you to the remotest parts of Kenya and through some of the worst roads in Africa Day 1 Depart Nairobi through the Rift valley floor seeing lakes Naivasha
and Elemetaita as you drive by. Arriving in Nakuru for Lunch.
Set up camp or settle at a budget hotel and proceed on a game
drive at L.Nakuru National Park. |

DAY 2 After breakfast depart for Lake Baringo arriving in time for Lunch. In the afternoon have a boat excursion in the Lake where you will see Hippos, Crocodiles, and lots of Birds. |
Day 3 Early morning guided walk to the cliffs for bird watching.
Later drive to Maralal which is samburu country. Dinner and
overnight at yare campsite. Long drive from Maralal via Baragoi and South Horr to Loiyangalani
(L.Turkana) one of the most scenic routes. Dinner and overnight
at the Campsite. |

Day 5 Spend the day exploring the Loiyangalani settlement and have a chance to interact with the Turkana, Elmolo, Rendille, and Samburu tribes. Day 6 Departing Loiyagalani after breakfast we head North then South
East through North Horr to Kalacha at the edge of the Chalbi
desert a small Gabra settlement for overnight. |
Day 7 Drive further south through the Chalbi Desert to Marsabit a
volcanic forested area. We go on a guided tour of the town and
visit a volcanic crater. Dinner and overnight at a budget Hotel/Campsite. |
Day 8 Join the Trans African highway South to Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch and late afternoon game drive, you are will see lots Animals including Lions, Elephants, Oryx, Grevys zebra, Reticulated Giraffe etc. Dinner and overnight at campsite next to Ewaso Nyiro river. |

Day 9 Spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve. With an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at camp. |
Day 10 Early morning breakfast and drive through Isiolo and Mt Kenya region to arrive at Nairobi late afternoon. End of expedition |
