FOUR DAYS - MANYARA / NGORONGORO / TARANGIRE RESERVE

DAY 1

Depart Nairobi 8.00am, arrive at Namanga border town at 10.00hrs. After immigration formalities, drive to Arusha for lunch. Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famed for it's abundant bird life, tree climbing lions and large herds of elephants, for afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Manyara hotel or campsite.

DAY 2

With picnic lunches, leave Manyara after breakfast for Ngorongoro crater for full day game viewing (with lunch & breakfast at Ngoitoktok springs). Ngorongoro crater is one of the wonders of the world, so nicknamed by many visitors on their first time. The Ngorongoro conservation area, 5,184 sq. kilometres has three other small craters Oldeani, Olmoti and Empakaai to the north. It also contains animal population on varied species. It was once an active volcanic mountain which, with tremendous force, blew and folded to form a caldera. Return later in the afternoon to Ngorongoro wildlife lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3

After breakfast, depart from Ngorongoro for Tarangire, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in Tarangire National Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Tanzania with regard to animal concentration and abundance. Big herds move down from Ngorongoro, Manyara and surrounding game reserves to get water and food as Tarangire is always full of vegetation. Dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Safari Lodge or campsite.

DAY 4

After breakfast, drive to Arusha via Mukuyuni village for shopping of Makonde Carvings and other souvenirs. After lunch in Arusha drive to Nairobi via Namanga border town, arriving early evening.
